Post-Christmas Cheer!!

Okay, I don't know about you guys, but I've officially had my fill of Christmas. Yay!

Wouldn't it be cool if we lived back in the olden days, when the Christmas season began on Christmas Eve and lasted until New Year's Day, instead of nowadays, when the Christmas season begins on Halloween and lasts until New Year's Day??!!

Remember how Christmas trees went up on Christmas Eve because Santa decorated them, and that part of the thrill of finding presents on Christmas morning was seeing them under the sparkling tree that Santa was also responsible for??!!

If you remember any of this stuff, man, you are fucking old. That said, though (and said quite eloquently, I might add!), it would be so nice to feel the Christmas Spirit throughout the entire holiday. For me, once Christmas Day is over, I look at that lighted tree, and all the lights in the living room windows, and the lights down in my family room, and all I can think about is the enormous electric bill awaiting me in January... (heavy sigh)

On that cheery note, I am back to work around here. Starting today, my schedule gets decidedly less insane so I am getting caught up on all the things (for instance, your emails!!) that were piling up around here. And frankly I'm glad to be back to the old routine.

On that happy note, here is my Post-Christmas Cheer; I made it up just for you:

Rah, rah, rah!
Christmas bah!
Humbug, humbug
Rah, rah, rah!!

All righty!! See ya, gang!! Have a great December 26th, wherever you are!! Thanks for visiting!!

But let us not forget the traditional Christmas Bad Cold Spirit, which truly does last the entire holiday (and unfortunately, often well beyond), culminating in the traditional New Years Visit to the Doctor.

Oh no!!! You must have forgotten to light the Christmas Sage torch and run with it, flaming, through every room in your house!! Filling your house with all that billowing, burning-sage smoke is the only way to keep the Christmas Bad Cold Spirit away! See what happens when we no longer live in the olden days? We forget these things!! Feel better, baby.
