Nuews & Such!

I find that if you spell the word "news" with an added "U" in it, it makes it that much more newsworthy, plus it puts the "YOU" in my news and so no one feels excluded!

Good thing I can't type to save my life. Otherwise I wouldn't have developed all these new & wonder-filled "word" theories.

Okay!!

First off (did I already post this yesterday? I suppose I should check, however, it can't hurt to post it twice): The Black Marks Literary Award web site has a bunch of words on it now that  don't include "Under Construction" -- you can check it out here. Depending on how slow or fast you read, the entire web site will take you about 5 minutes to read over. You'll especially want to read the breathtaking "About Us" page, and/or look at the image of the calendar for November, no doubt noting that it is one of those odd months that has only 30 days in it..

But seriously... if you write killer science fiction, or know someone who does, please check out the Submission Guidelines for the award. We will begin taking submissions on February 1st, 2012. (Yes, that's 86 days away...)

Also, don't forget to follow us on TwitterBlackMarksLitAward @BlackMarksLiter

More news...

A nice nod to the current issue of SomethingDark is over at the Law and Sexuality blog out of the University of Sunderland, UK. You can read the entire post here, but in part, he says:

"Mucho excitement at the launch of issue two of Something Dark.  This is a fantastically experimental magazine with truly mesmerizing photography and imagery...

"This issue contains a number of sexuality and identity related stories that focus on the 'dark', often hidden and under-discussed identities.  The photography and images reflect this.  It's a must for anyone interested in sexuality, identity and creative ideas, but defies simple labelling and pigeonholing."

So please check it out, if you haven't already, gang!! I really love this magazine and I am honored to be on their editorial staff.

Okay, that is it for today, gang. I've got a couple of meetings and some manuscripts to read today, but I might try to squeeze in another viewing of The Rum Diary around lunch time. We'll see! Meanwhile, have a super-duper Monday, wherever it finds you and wherever it takes you. Thanks for visiting, gang! See ya.
