You know I'm outta control when...
I have to google myself on the Internet in order to find a past interview with me from a few years ago, wherein I talked at length about my ideas for a story I was working on. I can't find my story notes anywhere else!! Thank God for the Internet!
Anyone feel like doing some filing for me???? I can make it so worth your while. Meaning, you can have full access to the dark, gloomy, damp and unfinished part of my basement, where all my files (and spiders) are!! Where the duct work hangs down really low, so you will always be banging the heck out of your head!! (Even the crazy lady who lives here has not learned to stop banging her head on the low-hanging duct work in her own basement!) Sounds great, right??? What could be more invigorating, gang? What could be more refreshing? And I won't even pay you any money! Think of how good it will make you feel to be so charitable to a veritable stranger??? (A stranger who clearly has "special needs," to boot!)
I do save everything. It's not like those story notes aren't down there somewhere. Everything I need is down in that basement. It's just that I now have an interesting way of filing. It's called "moving around a lot" in the last 10 years, and "not having any patience to pack things properly and label them." The files go into the packing boxes all higgledy-piggledy, and out they come the very same way!!
What's funny is how neat the filing cabinets and the wicker file holder-thingies look from the outside! It gives the (erroneous, it turns out) impression that I am really, really organized. Well, I'm "organized" in that I always know that whatever I need is somewhere. At least I never have to worry that I'm on some wild goose chase; with persistence, determination, and patience, I will find what I'm looking for!! If not, I'll just google myself and find it online!! Yay!
Okay! Enough. Have a great Thursday, gang, wherever you are. Thanks for visiting the crazy lady here in Happyland! See ya.
[Yes, gang! Wild geese!!]
