Update on everything imaginable!

Okay, well, YESTERDAY was gorgeous, gang! Sunny as all get-out. A little cool but at least it made it into the low 50s.

My daffodils are apparently keenly sensitive to my needs right now. They are persevering! (Secretly, they're whispering amongst themselves: This gal's intense, but  -- whatever; keep blooming.) (I can actually hear daffodils whispering.) Regardless of what they may or may not think of me, they are hanging in there!! Through endless frost, snow, hail -- yes, we even had hail, gang. They are STILL blooming!!

Today, so far, we have rain. So that's COOL!! Yay!

I know, I know; some people are worried about their daffodils perhaps being radioactive right now, so I do try to keep it all in perspective. But sometimes it's all relative, you know?

Okay. So, I've been awake since 3:30 AM. Just thinking about life, people, career -- stuff. It's the Dark of the Moon phase right now and Cancers are susceptible to all that moon stuff. Meaning the zodiac sign, Cancer. Of which I am on the cusp. Full moon, new moon; my little peepers pop open in the thick of it and the brain starts reminiscing.  Or chasing its tail. Or lamenting. Or ... I'm sure you get the picture.

BTW. A quick note on the screenwriting stuff, gang. It still continues to go ridiculously great. I wish I could say more about it right now, but I just can't.  It is sufficient to say that it is astounding. There was NOTHING in any of the screenwriting courses I've ever taken (which goes back to about 1985, folks), that said: Find a fantastic writing partner, write your first screenplay, and then a Hollywood producer with a track record 100 miles long, with clout to get movies made, will ASK you for your screenplay before it's even finished and then the very minute it is finished and registered with the WGA, he will ask to have it emailed to him immediately so that he can read it on the plane as he goes off on vacation...(that was just this past week.)

In fact, what those courses actually taught was the exact opposite: "Expect to be rejected on all fronts & get used to the feeling." It just goes to show you, gang. Don't face reality; create it.

So, you can see. I have nothing to complain about. And I'm not complaining. I'm just in a funky mood this morning.

Update on that super-short story I wrote that got accepted in that killer fine art book that's coming out in December from Jaded Ibis Press. The story now has a title: WE WARNED HER. (This is the story that's somewhat erotic and is lesbian/cannibalistic in tone.) (A bit of a nod to Ed Gein, had he been a lesbian, that is.) (God knows he had enough to deal with, without being a lesbian, to boot.)

I really hope you'll get to read it gang, I'm really proud of the story and thrilled to be in the book. But in all honesty, the story is only 300 words long (I've already surpassed that here on the blog post today & it has cost you NOTHING to read it. yay.) And the book will cost something like $2100.00 or something very pricey like that. So I will understand if it isn't on the top of your list of things to buy this year, but, hey, you never know.

What should be on the top of your list to buy this year, however, is this. So please buy it, gang!! (Not that I'm getting bossy all of a sudden and telling you what to do...)

So the update on spring cleaning this past Tuesday... it was not exactly a complete success. I got some of the vacuuming done and then cleaned the upstairs bathroom sink -- and then said, "You know, those weatherization guys are just going to come in here tomorrow and make another big mess and I'll have to clean all over again" so I stopped cleaning. But TODAY, spring cleaning resumes. I mean it. I'm not just saying that b/c it's easy to say. I'm really, really going to do it. I'm going to clean. And what's more, I'm going to love every endless tedious minute of it!! Really. I am. In fact , I'm going to start right now. (Meaning, I'm going to start "loving" it right now, not actually doing it.) Oh ha ha ha.

Okay. Time for more coffee, gang, then on with the day. Thanks for visiting. Have a great Saturday wherever it finds you!! Keep your chin up! Keep smiling! Keep the faith! See ya!!
