Okay, so

Now that almost all my lovely daffodils have bloomed, and I've been waiting until just the RIGHT moment to take the picture of them and regale you with it...

It went down below freezing last night! It is right now a balmy 26 degrees Farenheit!! Crap.

Well, I kept a prayer vigil all night for their well-being. Not really. But I did sort of "pray" that they wouldn't freeze to death when I went to bed last night. Damn it. The first time they've bloomed in three years. I guess we shall see what happened once it's actually light outside.

On other fronts.

I'm up to Chapter 6 in The Violin Girl, my new crime novel. (I say that as if I wrote all these other crime novels & that this is just the newest one, but you kwo what I mean.) ("Kwo" in this case is short for "know" -- I find it so much easier to just write KWO instead of taking all that time to type KNOW. Try it! See if it works for you! You could maybe find all kinds of extra time to do stuff by taking these simple typing short cuts!) (Not to be confused with all that texting you do.)

Anyway. I am so fuskign tired, gang. (We won't say what "fuskign" is short for!!) (Jesus, I guess all these fuskign typos are proof of how tired I am.) The new screenplay with Jerry is finally completely done! Yay! My Valentino novel, Twilight of the Immortal is officially out. Yay! And so all the promo stuff for that has to get underway pronto. (Teeny-tiny small exhausted Yay.)

Ooh, wow. This urgent bulletin just popped into my INBOX: the MP3 download for The Rolling Stones album Let it Bleed is on sale right now at Amazon for $5. You might be interested in that news, too! The album is only 48 years old! I'm downloading it & typing as we speak! God knows I need every known format of every Rolling Stones album ever made... Onward.

So, I'm fucking tired. But it's okay, gang. It's for all these terrific reasons. And soon, soon, soon that guy's going to come and do the official spring clean-up of my yard and things in that department will get underway. I am so psyched, gang. I know I am going to have the most perfect yard this summer!! It sort of feels like finally finding the perfect nanny for your kids, or something. Finding someone you can trust who will do what they say they'll do and do a great job at it, to boot.

And I've officially chosen this coming Tuesday as spring-cleaning day here inside. My house is a mess. And I have guys coming over again this week to do more (FREE!) weatherization stuff in my attic and I seriously don't want anyone seeing how horrible this house looks right now.

I have to tell you, this energy-saving stuff the government has been doing for me since August has made an enormous impact on my electric bill. At it's peak, back in July when Jay was still living here, my electric bill was a whopping $700. I finally finished paying that off last month, and so this month's bill was just a regular bill -- at the height of winter, though -- and the bill was $38. It is so awesome when Democrats are in office, isn't it, gang? (Well, we can kiss all this stuff goodbye here pretty quick, b/c the Republicans are back in office here in Ohio and derailing everything imaginable all over again, but at least I -- a life-long voting Democrat-- got to finally benefit from not being a member of the "Me-Only" party. Yay.)

So, one more bit of fun news and then I really gotta scoot -- I gotta get some more work done on my "latest" crime novel! ha ha.

I went into the grocery store yesterday to buy three things. A tube of toothpaste (Arm & Hammer Advanced White -- I swear by it!), the economy-sized pack of Breathe-Rites (and not only b/c they help you breathe at night if you happen to be allergic to dust and cat hair and have three cats and plenty of dust; but also b/c they make you look most attractive when hitting the hay at the end of the day); and some organic tomatoes.

I walked in through those automatic doors and a voice in my head -- a very reliable voice -- said plain as day, "The Tourist is in here." Not that I had made any sort of decision beforehand about buying that DVD and I didn't even know it was out yet. I figured I probably would buy it some day. I mean, on video I own Private Resort and Slow Burn, okay? So, I mean I actually liked The Tourist a lot better than either of those film classics.

But, okay, my point here (there is a point), is: the voice thing in my head and how accurate it is and how it just pops out of nowhere. Plain as day: The Tourist is in here. And then over between the toothpaste aisle and the Breathe-Rite aisle, was a DVD rack and a little sign that said: "save $3 on The Tourist", and there were 2 left. Yay!! I won't say it went right into my cart b/c I didn't have a cart! I was only buying 3 things. But it did come home with me!

On that note, I seriously gotta scoot. Christ. It is now after 7... See ya, gang. Have a terrific Friday wherever you are!!! Thanks for visiting!
