Okay! In honor of St. Paddy's Day...

... being just around the corner, I will regale you with my most favorite stupid Irish joke of all time!!

Q: What's Irish and stays out all night?
A: Paddy O'Furniture! [patio furniture]

This stupid joke still makes me laugh after all these years! (I guess I really am a connoisseur of stupidity.) (See post below somewhere re: Rodney Dangerfield.)

I'll try to regale you with more stupid Irish jokes as the Big Day draws ever nearer.

I swear I am so tempted to jump the gun and watch Darby O'Gill & the Little People right now, but then what would I do on the Big Day? (I mean, besides drink Guinness and watch the damn movie again??? ha ha.) No, I'm holding out for the big pay off! So Fluffy and I watched James Bond in Thunderball this morning instead. (James Bond is also in Darby O'Gill, but in that movie he goes by the name of Sean Connery.) (And he sings!!)

I'm not sure if I'm going to go the corned beef and cabbage route this year, though, folks. Especially since now it's just me living here. Don't know if I can face corned beef & cabbage for, like, 7 days in a row before it would finally be gone! Plus, I have 3 classes next week, one conference call, a fund-raising luncheon w/mom, and 7 clients. So I'm not sure where I'm even going to find the time.

Well, okay!

Last night, I had amazing dreams. The parts I remember most vividly involved having a bunch of lights all plugged into a very elaborate surge-protector thingie but I couldn't get any of the lights to turn on. Then, suddenly, all the lights came on at once & I was no longer "in the dark." Then there were these amazing, teeny-tiny miniature animals & birds that had gotten into my house b/c the window was wide open. And I had to catch them all b/c I was afraid the cats were going to stalk them and kill them. The first one I caught was a teeny-tiny little baby chick with a blue ribbon tied around her neck in a pretty bow.

Holy moly, I just saw the clock!! I gotta scoot, gang. Have a great Thursday, wherever you are & keep smilin'!!

[Trust me, this mean cat is not thinking, "Oh wow, what a cute little baby duck!!" Cats can never be trusted around cute little baby animals, regardless of what they try to get you to believe. Don't fall for it; best if you learn that hard lesson right now.] [See ya, gang!]

Thank you!! I'm very glad you like it. It's sort of like having a baby -- you finally get to see what that thing kicking around inside you looks like. Of course, after 11 years, I could have given birth to, like, 3 baby elephants. Something like that. And here it turned out to just be a book... Anyway. Thank you for everything.

Baci, bambino. I hope things are going really good for you.
