Heart full of Spring

Gosh, gang, I really feel like it's already spring! Part of it is this continuing mild weather (57 degrees here and it's only 7 AM!!); the other part is hearing from old friends yesterday and that makes my heart zoom; like I want to just go romp around and play in the fields of the Lord. Just like spring!!

I've been playing Julie London's fantastic version of Fly Me to the Moon over & over this morning;  the cardinals are singing like mad outside my window -- it just feels like spring! And when I was making the bed, I was so tempted to remove the flannel sheets and put the cotton ones on the bed... but, you know, the reality is that it's February 18th. I get a sneaky feeling that winter's not really over yet...

Part of this feeling of spring is also that lecture series I'm watching on DVD (a 4-disc set). Since it focuses heavily on what Christianity was like immediately following the (alleged) crucifixion of Christ (lots of early Christians believed various things about Christ's life & death), I can't help but also focus on things like Passover, Good Friday, and Easter -- and then it's only a hop, skip, and a jump to St. Paddy's Day (!!) and Guinness and Darby O'Gill and the Little People!!!

Yay!!

Jeez. And then I walk outdoors and I only need to wear a little jacket! I don't care what you say, gang, it's SPRING!!
