Strangely...
I reached my chocolate quota yesterday!
And they said it couldn't be done -- ever! Yet I managed to make myself sick to my stomach -- yippee ki yi yay!
It started out as a complete surprise -- a client gave me a reasonably large-sized heart-shaped box of chocolates yesterday morning. This was totally unexpected. I had no inkling that chocolate, not purchased by moi, was headed my way. So, quite excitedly, I found myself eating chocolate by 9:30 AM -- and it was so fucking good that, yes, I had more than a couple pieces. And the day went on from there, straight into the evening. Chocolate was a major player in my world yesterday.
And now... I've been up since 3 AM, not feeling so special.
But oh well. Onward! Right, gang??
On other fronts...
Synopsis mania continues. To be honest, it wasn't just the chocolate that's had me up since 3 AM. I am currently in the market for a better way to turn off my brain at night. I don't see other people (i.e., writing partners named Jerry) up at 3 AM, fixating on writing margins that aren't completely flush to the left...
You know, some people are sleeping like babes while others among us fixate on utterly ridiculous things! But the good thing: I don't actually call Jerry at 3 AM and ask him if he could get out of bed, go downstairs to his office, open the synopsis file and flush all the margins over to the left.... I actually know how to save those kind of important requests for the appointed conference call. But the point is, I actually am awake fixating on this stuff.
However, that said, the synopsis should be finished by today or tomorrow and sent off to where it needs to go, and I can get back to "normal." Although, tonight I start a new screenwriting/career seminar (8-week course) and those kinds of things tend to set my brain wheels spinning into overdrive. (I get very excited by stuff, gang. I would have been perfect for one of those Mickey Rooney - Judy Garland type movies from the early 40s -- you know: "Hey, let's put on our own Busby Berkeley musical in the barn!!" I am so enthusiastic.)
Well, all righty! Now that it's 6 AM, I suppose I should get crackin' around here. I think I'll get the ball rolling by going straight back to bed. See ya, gang! Thanks for visiting!!
