#1 reason why time sucks

Gorgeous French actors like these two got old.

(Or, in the case of Romy Schneider , have actually been dead now for quite some time.) (The man is Alain Delon . The two were engaged for a few years in the early 60s.)

And guess what??!!

I have a jacket exactly like this one that Jack Kerouac is wearing!! Yay! I'm guessing on the colors, of course. Mine is gray/black/white. But it is the same CPO style. I "inherited" it from my ex, Mike.

Now all I need are a bunch of oranges or grapefruits, or whatever those are, and maybe I, too, can write the great American novel and live on in infamy... Oh wait, I'm already going to live on in infamy; it's only the "great American novel" part that I still need.

(Thanks to Mark Pritchard in SF for sending me to a really fun website with old/rare photos of famous people.) (And if you visit that link there for Mark, you can see some really charming photos of him from a long time ago with his very pretty (and now "ex") French wife.) (His current very pretty wife, Cris, is originally from Central America. Apparently Mark was not very satisfied with hanging around in his own backyard...)

Okay!! My new favorite thing to do!!

In my never-ending quest to keep as far away from humanity as "humanly" possible... I have discovered that running errands at 6:30 AM on Saturday mornings is a blast!! No lines at the drive-thru ATM at the bank; no one at all at the gas station; and about 4 people in the enormous grocery store. Plus-- not even any cashiers are there that early; it's all self-scan with, of course, no lines.

I live on a really busy street, too. So getting in & out of my driveway at 6:30 AM on a Saturday is a piece of cake!!

Then it's back home for a cozy Saturday of writing, in the company of my kookie cats... And speaking of which...

Here's the #1 reason to love Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor!!
(I'll let you smarty-pantses deduce why!!)

Ciao, babydolls!! Thanks for visiting!! (MEOW!!)
