Wow, faithless & stupid??!!

Did I really say that? (see below) Well, nobody ever accused me of mincing words, but Jesus.

Here is that happy ending! Of course it will mean nothing if you don't read the 258 1/2 pages that come before it. (And, you know, this is not some well-written book by any stretch, but for some reason, it is my most popular with readers.)

Cheng winked at them and smiled, and drank his glass down. Then he left them to wander up to the observation deck alone, to look at heaven with their own eyes. At the multitude of stars above and the ocean that stretched forever before them; the same ocean that had brought destiny to other lovers in other dreams, throughout all time.

And when they’d had their fill of drinking down the expanse of stars and toasting the blessings of heaven, they retired to their bed and honored lovers everywhere.

They were magnificent in their naked splendor; in their rapport as lovers; in their courage and grace. And they woke Cheng with their rambunctious love-making, but they knew he wouldn’t mind.

“You’re burning down the house with all that love,” he had teased them once. “But that’s okay. There’s always room in paradise for a house on fire with love.”

END

Yippee ki yi yay, gang. What can I say? Go for it.
