I'm in love with a bass player! Again!
So what else is new??
It's the weirdest thing about me -- when all things are equal (talking about people; men & women both, actually), if there are, say, a bunch of people standing around in a room, I will, without fail, be drawn to & probably fall in love with, the sole person in that room who is a bass player. and this is without knowing before hand that the person plays bass! It's so funny. I'm talking years of having this happen.
Anyway. The Portable Film Festival announced it winner. I have to say that I am unimpressed and that is putting it mildly. However, it's one of those popularity things -- the winner is based on votes. So to me that only means the winner was able to badger enough people to vote! Oh well.
I did, however, like the Honorable Mention winner in the music video category . The song is One Million Dollars by Roller One; the video was made by Dominic Allen, from Australia. It got off to a bit of a slow start visually, but I kept with it and wound up liking it a lot. Especially when the bass player entered the frame! Yay! I was hypnotized, gang!! It feels so nice to fall in love, doesn't it??
Shit. The bad part about getting older and finding you are suddenly old enough to be everyone's mother, is that you are still attracted to the same sorts of people as you ever were, but they now look upon you as, well, you know -- old enough to be their mother!!! Sad state of affairs...
On a brighter note... Jerry & I spent 4 hours tackling some stuff with the screenplay yesterday and it was a fucking breakthrough!! Yay. This was after a combined total of about 9 hours last week, banging our heads against the wall and pretty much opposing each other at every turn -- without meaning or wanting to. Just that frustration that happens sometimes in any creative endeavor.
But yesterday, it all came pouring out, finding its proper place at last & we achieved utter greatness!! Yay. So that went well!
Okay, check out the video (& the bass player!) for One Million Dollars, if you feel so inclined, gang! have a great Wednesday-before-Christmas-Eve, wherever you are!! Thanks for visiting, see ya!!
