A screed on my web-authoring tool!
I despise it!!
For one hundred years, I used NetObjectsFusion 2.01 and loved every fucking minute of it. And by "one hundred years", I mean exactly that: I'd used NetObjectsFusion 2.01 since 1997. I built Other-Rooms.com, Marilynsroom.com, MasqueradeBooks.com, EroticBookSociety.com, StirringUpAStorm.com, EntangledLives.com, ZowieItsYaoi.com, EroticAuthorsAssociation.com, and until this past spring, marilynjayelewis.com using NetObjectsFusion 2.01.
They stopped making it in, like 1998, or some long-ago era like that. They did not upgrade it; they totally switched gears and turned it into something else. So, for instance, NetObjectsFusion 3 thru12, or whatever version they're up to now, has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with that amazingly incredible 2.01
Unfortunately, 2.01 is fun to use but it creates web pages that look old & outdated now, so this past spring, I finally upgraded to the web authoring tool that I currently use, and I absolutely despise it. Yes, everything is automated. I can add audio & video files, create slideshows, etc., with the click of a key. But everything feels so boxed-in and packaged; it makes me nuts. Gone are the days when I could feel really, really creative without being bogged down with having to learn all kinds of code.

That said, gang...my web site, marilynjayelewis.com, has been updated. I deleted a number of pages because they were making me really insane. However, the pages that are still there, have new content on them, so please check it out:

(and, yes, that is me on the opening flash page singing with my band back 1984 -- a song I wrote about Avenue A in New York City's East Village -- nothing at all like what Avenue A is like these days...)

- (go see The Tourist when it opens on Friday)
- (celebrate Christmas with a minimal amount of boozing)
- Work on the new screenplay with my gift-from-God writing partner, Jerry.
