Uh-oh!

This $14 teapot was 30% off at the grocery store yesterday (yes! practically "giving it away"!), which I'm guessing explains why I now have a teapot that looks like a Christmas sweater sitting on top of my microwave!!

Yay! (To be honest, I couldn't wait to use it this morning. I made my green tea in it. The tea tasted a little sweater-y but good!!) (ha ha)

Also, a note about Fluffy and her room (see post below)... yes, the small cat who is mostly just a big bunch of fluffy fur with super sharp claws, gets an entire bedroom to herself. Why? Because under that fluffy and somewhat goofy exterior of hers, she is a demon spawn from Hell who is very possessive of me and will attack the other cats all night long if she isn't kept closed up in her room. She is smart enough to know how to open her bedroom door, too (she jumps at the door handle and pulls it down), so we have to latch it on the outside to ensure she stays bolted in! (We have to go through a lot just to get a peaceful night's sleep around here!)

Also, Fluffy has a special filter implanted in her brain that blocks out the word "No". So it isn't simply a case of her not understanding this word, it in fact gets filtered out long before it would have reached her brain. So if you say (or shout, or scream), "Fluffy -- no!!" What she actually hears is: "Fluffy -- !!" So she just goes right on doing whatever evil demon spawn thing she's doing.

But Fluffy loves her room. She gets a big double-bed all to herself, with plenty of soft puffy blankets, pillows, even 2 stuffed teddy bears that are made of chenille that she likes to cuddle up with. Considering she was a 6-month-old stray alley cat who was pregnant, had pneumonia, and was starving to death when she came to live on our porch in Tiny Town, PA. 4 years ago, she's made out pretty well! (Or as I like to remind her, pretty much almost daily, she's living the life of Riley! )
