My 1st hero has been dead now...

...for almost 30 years. However, if John Lennon hadn't been murdered back in December of 1980, he would have been 70 today.

I was cruising around the Internet, looking at all the various monuments and memorials to him and I came upon a photo of the one below in Havana, Cuba. I'm not sure if I've seen a photo of this monument before or not, but when I saw it today, I thought that when I turn 70, I hope the politics of the world will be such that I can visit Havana and have my picture taken sitting next to John! I will so love doing that! So somewhere around July 22nd, 2030, check back here on the blog and see if I managed to make it happen, okay? (and check out the photo beneath this one -- John with his first son, Julian, in like 1963 or so. A couple of beautiful boys!) (and then click on the media tab and play one of my favorite John Lennon songs from the year he was killed.) Peace, amigos!
