Loyal readers of this lofty blog (or people who have known me since the late 1970s) know that I love reading tarot cards. I first learned on a Swiss deck -- it was the deck I used for 30 years. (Pictured below.)




Then this past spring, I decided to switch it all up and I bought a Universal Waite deck, which I absolutely adore.



Usually, in the early morning, I do a tarot reading for my day. (I also read the cards at night, too, b/c I am simply incapable of letting life unveil itself to me by itself -- I always have to try to be a step ahead of what is going to happen. It doesn't work that way,  b/c life happens however it's going to happen, but it still has its uncanny elements so I keep doing it. And what the heck, I love reading tarot cards.) Anyway, this morning, as I got the "Judgment" card for the millionth time in 2 days, it occurred to me that I hadn't gotten "The World" in a really, really long time and it's a wonderful card.



So I was going through the deck, looking for it & couldn't find it. I went through the deck several times and no 'World" card!! The thing is gone, missing! I looked all over the house for it. How long have I been using an incomplete deck? It happened sometime since March or April b/c I know it used to be there... alas. I had to purchase a whole new deck. However, it will be well worth it to have that card thrown back into the mix:

"In the World, we see the culmination of the journey we began as the Fool... This card unites all the forces of the world. Everything that has been leading up to a climax is about to be realised. There will be fulfilment of your desires. Success in your interests will be obtained." Etc., etc., etc. Can you imagine if the whole world has been trying to tell me this, but it hasn't had a card to speak through??? Too funny. We shall see, gang.
