I woke at 4:30 AM to the melodious sounds of Bunny throwing up right next to me in the bed. And I was having such an intense and curious dream, damn it! But out of bed I flew to stuff the quilt into the washing machine. Then I grabbed a different quilt from the linen closet, went back into the bedroom, turned on the light to check the bed for any other cat-related stuff that I didn't want to go back to sleep with and, what to my wondering eyes should appear? Yes, a big black spider sleeping on the pillow next to mine!!

Out to the wilderness of the front patio he went. He seemed mighty startled about it, too.

What is it about this place?? Everything with any claim to life whatsoever just sort of winds up here! Yesterday morning, it was another spider sleeping on my kitchen floor, until I woke it up and startled the heck out of it and shoo'd it out the kitchen door. The morning before that, a centipede -- just hanging out there on the kitchen floor at 5 AM, looking at me, not moving at all until I finally looked the other way and he scurried off behind the stove...

What's worse is that it isn't even fall yet. Fall is when the little buggers really start to come indoors.
