Birthday Extravaganza!!
Yes, I am known for my extravagant gifts -- even to myself! And my recent 50th birthday was no exception!!
Not only did I buy the 2 Lyle Crocodile books for myself (see post below somewhere), I also bought these!!
Yes!! I know!! It's kind of hard to believe I could be so loose with the purse strings, isn't it? Three -- yes three!!! -- bottle caps re-fashioned by "A LOCAL ARTIST" (!!) (I have no idea who!!) into refrigerator magnets!! And each of them honoring a hero, no an ICON, of my youth! Elvis, Johnny Cash, and John & Yoko (okay, in the case of the latter -- icons, plural).
In all honesty, and I mean this from my heart, gang, it was 50 bucks well spent! (Okay, just kidding -- more like $5 well spent, and the seriously tattooed young lady at the cash register didn't even charge me tax!!)
Yippi ki yi yay! What a great birthday!! There is more to tell, gang, but that'll have to wait for another post b/c I gotta get crackin' around here! I have a lunch date to scoot off to, and god knows, I need to meditate and get centered and totally re-think the scope of my entire life before I leave the house!! Yay!
