Wow, you asked for it, gang!
Okay, well maybe you didn't exactly ask for it, but you're getting it anyway. My upcoming and highly anticipated novel Freak Parade is about 450 pages long. And 3/4's of the way into it -- yes, you guessed it -- there is a 30-page sex scene. Is that ridiculously wild, or what?? And I just finished editing it. Whew. So intense. Exhausting.
After twenty years of being one of America's "premiere erotica writers" (don't you just love reviews, gang? I sure fucking do!! Yay.) Anyway, after all these years of being "an icon", "a prolific writer", etc., etc., don't you think I would have already written so much erotica that there could hardly be enough left in me to fill up a 30-page sex scene? Seems like a safe bet. And yet -- how wrong you are! Yowza.
Well, I still have 60 pages to edit so chances are that I won't get it done before I leave for NYC next week, but I'm going to get very close to finishing, for sure. And I'm taking the laptop with me, so who knows? Maybe I'll finish it while I'm in New York. (Why do I doubt that??? ha ha ha. We shall see!) Anyway.
