Everything just keeps getting better

This can't possibly be my life -- what the heck's going on????

Today we made our hotel reservations for our return trip to Paris next fall. We'll be staying probably a few days on the river in the Fontainebleau Forest at a friend's cottage, and then the rest of the time back on the left bank at L'Hotel. I can't wait! Now, all I need to do is really study my French. I've had an email from my French publisher sitting in my inbox for, like, a month b/c I didn't really understand it completely and I found it very consternating -- this eternal language communication gap. So I finally asked my girlfriend in Paris to translate this one sentence for me and it appears my publishers are, you know, anxiously awaiting my reply to something in my contract before they can proceed with publishing my book! AAAaaarrrgh. Crap! Okay, well. Just a few more cookies to bake and then I will reply....

So! Not only was there a ton of Godiva dark chocolate delivered right to my door this morning, but in my mailbox this afternoon was the Public Enemies DVD! Yay! How's that for service? I only had to walk to the end of my driveway and, voila, there it was. Thank you very much. I wasn't planning on watching it tonight. I was planning on hanging on the phone endlessly with my sweetie like I do everynight  for several hours at a stretch in anticipation of his arrival here next weekend, but I just got a call from him reminding me that, in his time zone, he's on his way to a meeting!! Crap again! So maybe I will watch that movie after all...

The cookies are actually done, the dishes washed, now it's all about chilling all by myself so off I go. Have a happy evening, gang, wherever you are.
