A wee bonnie bit of snow!!
Well, okay -- flurries. But I'm not complaining! I'll take any variety of snow that I can get!
Today is (almost) all about baking cookies and making Xmas fudge and stuff!! Yay! I still have my 10-page daily minimum of writing to tackle, but beyond that, I can stay in the kitchen most of the day, listen to Andy Williams & Dean Martin & Christmas Cocktails & Bette Midler's Cool Yule, etc., and just bake and bake and bake. While the flurries just sort of flurry around outside. Really, what could be more perfect?
And guess what else happened? The Christmas elves came by way of FedEx! I sent my agent Godiva holiday chocolates this year for Christmas, and lo & behold, an awesome collection of Godiva dark chocolate holiday stuff arrived for me today from someone else!! Chocolate just makes the world go around, gang, doesn't it?? Yay.
And ooh, wow!! Guess what other else? The flurries have just now given way to some serious snow! Wow. Did I die and go to heaven today, or what? This is just awesome and it's only 11 o'clock in the freakin' morning. Hope your day is just about as merry & bright wherever you're at today, gang! See ya real soon.

Gotta admit... I'm glad I found you. (Maybe it's partly because you remind me of me, and I just don't know how thrilled you should be about that) Anyway, I really like reading your entries, and I believe you've inspired me to bake a batch of cookies. Hard to get in the Christmas spirit when it's freakin' hot enough outside to be summer. Almost.
I'm jealous of your snow !!
I think I'll make oatmeal/chocolate chip/raisin cookies and even though that doesn't sound too holidayish, they're really tasty.

I'm glad you found me, too! And I'm glad you're feeling inspired to be even a little holiday-ish. It's important to celebrate but too easy to moan and lament stuff, right? It's a lesson I'm still learning.

Oh hey... I'm back. Yes, indeed, always easy to lament. Had to run out to the store for the chocolate chips. I'm even thinking about sugar cookies now... you know, the kind you roll out and cut into cute shapes and then decorate later after they've cooled.
Well, off to the kitchen now.
