Oy vey!
How have your days been going this week?!
Mine have been that proverbial roller coaster ride to emotional exhaustion. Some serious lows to some exhilarating highs, most of it career-related stuff. Editors who are still living in the Dark Ages who make me want to give up on publishing forever, but luckily, I have an agent who works out of Hollywood, not NYC. That makes all the difference in terms of me not losing my mind. She not only works in the present, but she has an overall awareness of the future barreling down on us. I really want to believe that book publishing will be around forever but, honestly gang... you know? They shoot themselves in the foot.
Another bright spot besides my agent, is my sweetie arriving in 2 weeks for an early Thanksgiving. How thankful am I for that? Pretty darned thankful, I must say. Now I just have to see if I can persuade mom to bake a pumpkin pie one week early. Heck, I suppose I could bake it myself. God knows I have enough pumpkins hanging around! (See post below somewhere.)
Today I am going to bake old-fashioned brownies from scratch and begin the FINAL revisions on my novel, Freak Parade. So things are good, gang; I'm just feeling a little worn out. But I gotta get crackin' around here. Gonna don that apron as soon as I hit "send"!
Hope life is on the upswing for you, too, wherever you are! Thanks for visiting, gang. See ya!
