Wow, what's with the rain?

Sunday again and still raining! That's an entire week of rain, so I haven't been able to do my walks in an entire week. Instead, it's been all about yoga and abs, which is okay because it frees up my early mornings for laying around in bed with Fluffy and a cup of tea, just thinking about life for awhile -- of which, there is much to ponder these days, gang.

A new love, a new house mate (who comes with new furniture, including a king-sized bed, how cool is that???), a trip to Paris just around the corner to meet with new friends and a new publisher (who only speaks French), and -- why, yes!-- I undertook yet another writing project for which I have no time whatsoever, but I was so fucking thrilled to be invited to contribute something to this particular project that I said, "Oh, fuck, yes! I'm in!" without even asking how much it pays. Well, that's just how it goes sometimes. The joy of life takes precedence over the lessser details, like money. Just scoot everything around on the schedule and somehow fit it in there.

Which means, of course, that I can't hang around here doodling all over the blog, using up precious "writing microbes" when I need to be aiming them at a blank page in a WORD file.

But before I skidaddle, I will regale you with something that has become quite dear to me, gang. It is the indescribably over-priced souvenir coffee mug that I bought in Chicago! When I saw it in the souvenir shop at Millennium Park (that park next to the Art Institute), I knew it was going to bring me nothing but oodles & oodles of pleasure, so I bought it (for $12.95) (!!), and I was so right about it. I get a little thrill each morning when I open up my cupboard and there it is, just looking at me, reminding me of what a great time I had in Chicago.

I regale you with the front & back views of it here, and then I really gotta get crackin', gang. You would simply not believe the amount of stuff on my to-do list around here!! But thanks for visiting! Hope you're having a happy Sunday! See ya.
