I know, I know!!
Long time, no hear. But I am back.
I don't know where the time is flying to, gang, but I've been once again juggling a heck of a lot of things at once. Writing projects, getting ready for the trip to Chicago next week, then Paris a month from now. And in the middle of all that, a visit from my favorite Out-of-Towner!
I was called up for Jury Duty right in the middle of all that, as well, but managed to get it deferred until January. With any luck, I won't be asked to serve on any juries. I make the worst juror. I always secretly think everyone is guilty but I refuse to send ANYONE AT ALL to prison, regardless of what I secretly think they are guilty of!
A case in point...
In New York, I was picked to serve on the jury for the Kimes murder trial. When the Kimes's (mother & son) walked into the courtroom a couple months before the trial even started, I took one look at them and just totally 100% believed they were gulity -- I couldn't help it. It's like it was written all over them: TOTALLY FUCKING STINKING GUILTY; YES, WE DID IT, written all over their smiling faces. Luckily, I was the owner of 3 small businesses at that time and was allowed to be excused from serving on the jury, since they expected the trial to last at least 4 months, which meant all 3 of my businesses would have gone under. (PS: They went under anyway! Yippee ki yi yay! But oh well. At least I didn't have to deal with sending anyone to prison, regardless of how guilty I thought they were.)
Gosh! On that cheery note!
The weather here continues to be unbelievably splendid, gang. Sunny and mild and just incredibly perfect. My whole darn life is just incredibly perfect. It is awesome.
A very happy birthday goes out to Keanu Reeves today. He is, like, I don't know -- really old now. And yet, he is still not as old as me. Go figure!
Tonight's viewing pleasure is this:

This weekend's reading pleasure is this:
And this fantastic new French cookbook is on pre-order, yay!! Can't wait to get it & impress my new sweetie with my astounding kitchen skills!!
Other than that, it's just the usual around here: write, re-write, & re-write again; and a little yoga thrown in. Okey-dokey! Have a great weekend, gang, wherever your heart winds up taking you! See ya!
