Gosh, Happy Monday, Gang!!

It is so beautiful out there this morning! It was only 50 degrees when I  took my walk today, but very, very sunny. The perfect weather in my book. (I don't like heat or humidity; they fry my wee bonnie little brain!) The high school across the street from me was in full swing this morning. It definitely feels like fall has arrived. And inside my neighborhood, in among the streets back there where I do my 3-mile walks, all the little kids were waiting at their bus stops. It made me recall so fondly my childhood in Cleveland -- of course, it doesn't take much to make me recall so fondly my childhood in Cleveland because pretty much every single solitary other thing that came after it, SUCKED!!!

Okay, I'm exaggerating. But still. You get the picture, I'm sure. But as loyal readers of this lofty blog probably know by now, everything about my life -- absolutely everything -- has gotten profoundly better just in this year alone. It is staggering to contemplate. Love, money, travel, career, friends. Heck, even my yard is spectacular this year.

A case in point...Yesterday, while trolling Google Images for pictures of retro kitchens, I stumbled upon the world's greatest blog! I can't believe that I just now found it. It is called HookedOnHouses.net, but the specific pages I stumbled upon are all about retro houses and retro kitchens. She even has some of the same Better Homes & Gardens special publications from the 1950s that I have!! I buy these little fuckers all the time in antique malls. They are like porn to me -- I get addicted to looking at them. My pulse rate skyrockets. Seriously!

Here's the link to a page of retro posts on her blog: http://hookedonhouses.net/category/retro-rooms/

Check out the link to 1950s pink bathrooms if you dare! These are, like, my dream bathrooms! And what's funny is that these bathrooms, when you see them in mid-century homes that are for sale, they're like pretty darn tiny, you know??? But when we were little, of course, they didn't seem tiny at all! I guess because we were pretty darn tiny oursevles.

Okay! Enough of this retro craziness. Gotta get a move on here. As usual, there is work to be done here in the heady NOW! Have a great day wherever you are, gang! Thanks for visiting.
