Well, okay!
Onward, gang.
I spent as much free time as I possibly could these last several days watching as many episodes of Nero Wolfe as I could manage and still have my eyes -- technically -- open. (See post below)
God, I love that show. The stories, the costumes, the pacing, the set decorating, and the acting -- it is just top notch. It's pretty much an ensemble cast, with the same actors playing different characters in various episodes. It is just so much fun. But now, alas, the library wants it back. (As if other people, like, might want to see it, too!) And they have a bunch of Poirot episodes on reserve for me to take its place. (I love Poirot, as well, but those episodes I have seen backwards & forwards and know them by heart. The Nero Wolf episodes I hadn't seen in about 8 or 9 years.)
Other than that, I'm just banging away on the laptop, working on the adaptation; falling in love (yes, after how many years? more details on that at another time); and also eagerly anticipating my upcoming trip to Chicago with Mark! Yay! There is other stuff going on, career-wise, that I can't really discuss yet. But when I can, rest assured, gang, you'll be the first to know! (Well, okay, among the first.)
Meanwhile, I gotta get crackin' around here. The writing is hard work this time. I've even begun sort of drinking coffee again. Once in awhile. And I make it very weak and I drink a ton of water everyday. (Loyal readers will no doubt recall my kidney ailment from January, which was a flare-up of a kidney ailment from 2003. So far, so good. But I have to be careful. And rest assured that when I say I'm drinking too much beer, it means I've had a beer and a half. And too much wine means maybe 2 glasses! I have really become a "lightweight" as they say. But I'm hanging onto these kidneys, folks, no matter what!! Yay.)
