Oh, gang, life is sweet!
No, I am so NOT a liar! I did to go to Costa Rica last night, just perhaps not exactly in the way I might have led you to believe I was going. However.... gosh, was it fun! I had a little too much Dos Equis for my tiny bladder to manage gracefully and he made me laugh so hard at one point that I really thought I was going to piss myself -- I was crying, I was laughing so hard. It was all just too romantic and wonderful and crazy.
And now I'm back.
Before I forget, the Limited Time Only story has changed! It is here and available for the next ten days and then will be whisked off to the ether whence it came, gang! So hop to it!
Well, my local public library was kind enough to locate not just Volume One but Volume Two, as well, of one of my all-time favorite TV shows: Nero Wolf! Yay!!! The version that starred Tim Hutton and Maury Chakin. It only aired for 2 seasons on A&E, but they were the fondest two seasons of television of my entire life! (And this includes those heady years of The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family, gang! I know!! It's hard to imagine that anything could be better than those two TV shows, but in my estimation, Nero Wolfe is!)
The down side to all this is that I have 6 days to watch 17 hundred zillion one-hour episodes. I'm thinking meth-amphetamines; what are you thinking? Just kidding! I'll probably only be able to watch a few episodes and then I'll have to give them all back but I will sure be in blissville for a little while. (Well, I'm always in blissville these days, gang, because -- well, we'll have to save that for another post.) (Here's a Frank-Sinatra-hint, though):
What a day this has been
What a rare mood I'm in
Why it's almost like being in love
There's a smile on my face
For the whole human race
Why it's almost like being in love
Okay!! On that happy note, it's time for a little red wine and a whole lotta Nero Wolfe! Knock yourself out, gang! It's Friday night all over the place!!
