This coming Friday, July 31, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., I will be at the PAGE and PALETTE BOOK STORE, 32 S. Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama (251.928.5295) where I will talk about WRITING OPENING LINES IN FICTION with the Fairhope Writers’ Group and any other interested party.  I will also sign books at the store, including LaSTANZA: NEW ORLEANS POLICE STORIES, THE BIG SHOW, NEW ORLEANS CONFIDENTIAL and other books and magazines.  I don’t leave Louisiana often but I’ve a special dispensation, since I went to college in Alabama (Troy University).
