Tired!
Freakin' tired here. As you can see by my photo! With this new template (my last one, as is common with so much in my ancient life, became obsolete), I can change photos whenever I want to.
One day, the revisions on the new novel will be done (yes, I realize that was supposed to be today but now it will require a miracle to reach that deadline), and then I will be able to post a photo here of myself looking happy! relaxed!
We shall see.
Last night was fun but nothing like I thought was going to happen. (Jazz concert/cocktail party -- see post below somewhere.) I was exhausted and then at the last minute, I couldn't figure out what to wear; I changed clothes about 6 times in 20 minutes. Then just said, "Crap -- wear this. You gotta go!" And I hate going out when I feel rushed like that. But the wine was decent and the music was, of course, incredible. Very uplifting, but then driving home in the dark -- a thing I hate doing (driving, in general, but especially at night) dead animals in the road, including a cat, which always breaks my heart.
Then I laid in bed in the dark with Buster & Bunny and stared at Hitchcock's North by Northwest until I suddenly realized I'd fallen asleep there somewhere. Today was supposed to be all about staying glued to the laptop until the revisions were done, but the phone HAS NOT STOPPED RINGING and then I was out of food so I had to go to the grocery store. So it has taken forever to really get a groove happening over here, but now I think it is at last underway.... hope all is copacetic wherever you are, gang! Have a great weekend. (Weekend! Hey, I remember weekends!! When am I going to get to have another weekend???)
