okay, just a friendly head's up

It's that time again. Revision notes for the new novel have begun to arrive from my agent and you know what that means...

If you don't, in fact, know: it means that I will be pretty much incommunicado for the next week to ten days to two weeks. So I won't be hanging around here very much.

I will, however, be having a really great lunch with some cousins today who are visiting from California. I will also stop in on mom's cats to say howdy to them & give them a little cat food, seeing as she's out of town. I will more than likely buy a new summer handbag today, too, because the gorgeous weather just screams out for it and then I will try with every fiber of my being to not buy any new hanging plants for the garden until after the next royalty check arrives next week...

Tomorrow, I have another writing seminar for an hour. And, miracle of miracles, I'm getting a massage for the first time in about eight months. Good lord, I cannot wait; I so need it.

And of course I'll more than likely scurry out to the garden every morning to snatch those weeds...

But that, my friends, will be that until the revisions are complete. No festive holiday BBQ's pour moi. No lounging around on my back patio with a glass of red wine while watching the many birds & squirrels eat me out of house & home. No lounging for any reason, actually. And yet, I am really looking forward to these revisions because it gives me another chance to visit with Rudolph Valentino. I am so not ready to say goodbye to him yet, gang. I love him. I really, really love him.

On that note, though, I will say adieu to you & you & you... (Why yes! That's a partial song lyric! It's from the song "So Long, Farewell" from the Sound of Music! A musical I loved almost as much as I loved  Peter Pan (the Mary Martin version, that is) when I was just a wee bonnie little lass in Cleveland...)

Okey-doke, folks, I'm outta here! Have a really miraculous day, wherever you are. Thanks for visiting! And I shall return as soon as I possibly can. See ya.
