Done!
Yes, this past Thursday afternoon, I finally finished the Valentino novel. 530 pages. It went off to the agent and I await word from her -- perhaps on Monday. Yippee ki yi yay, people!
I wanted to take a photo of the finished stack o' papers to share with you here on the blog but discovered the batteries in my camera are dead. Sad. A moment of silence for the departed, please...
So instead, I regale you with a life-like depiction of my back yard. As you can see, it has done splendidly so far this spring, even without my being able to tend to it for so much as a single moment yet.
However... it is high on my list of things to tackle before I leave for L.A. The first on the list is of course to clean the fiflthy house. After a celebratory novel-is-done (first draft, anyway) brunch with mom yesterday, I did get most of the upstairs cleaned. Fluffy's room was -- shall we say -- a complete disaster. Unbelievably fertile world of cat hair, scattered cat litter, and dust bunnies. But now, serenity has been restored. So at least Fluffy's happy as pie: she gets to start all over again! Yay!
So that's it for now in my world. I am totally exhausted, but happy. Hope all is copacetic wherever you're at, gang! Happy Passover, Happy Easter, happy Happy! See ya.
