Finally! I am not tired!!

Last night was an absolute blast. The film festival screening of Pageant was great -- a documentary about the Miss Gay America contest. Drag queens who were hosting the event naturally picked on mom! But she was an easy target because she looked really fab in her bright red blazer and her trendy black-rimmed glasses. But it was a hoot and Mom is a good sport.

I particularly enjoyed the bar -- for a change! I wasn't the designated driver. So, for the first time in ages, I had one of these:

A black Russian! Yay!

Oops! I meant one of these!!

Oh, ha ha ha.

Well, it's finally sunny and mild out there today. And I slept in until 7:30 this morning, gang. I haven't done that in a light year. Plus I fell asleep last night while watching one of my favorite movies, Auntie Mame... so everything is pretty much right with my world.

Today is all about picking up filmmakers at the airport from various parts of the world & getting them to their hotels -- no easy feat since I get stupefyingly lost all the time, owing to having no sense of direction whatsoever -- but the visiting filmmakers have not been briefed about this beforehand & have no idea what they're getting themselves into. Mom spent many grueling minutes, while driving home last night, trying to help me memorize exactly how I will get to the various hotels by way of the airport and then to the place downtown where tonight's screening is being held. "Turn right, then you'll turn left, and then the hotel will be on your left but there will be a turn around because you can't turn left right there; there'll be a divider. So go down to the turn around. Then when you get onto High Street you'll want to go left but you can't turn left or right on that street, so take the first street instead and go around the block. And if you miss that turn, just keep going until you find a street that's going in the direction you need to be taking..."

Yes. Okay. Got it. Could it be any easier? We shall soon see, gang! And if I never see you again...thanks for visiting!!
