Equal Time
I want to make sure that all my friends get equal time, so even while David Steinberg's announcement was pretty much the same announcement that Michael Rosen is making, because their photographs are being shown in the same exhibit, here is news from San Francisco-based photographer Michael Rosen:
Stormy Leather is located at 1158 Howard Street (between 7th and 8th), 415-626-1672. The photographs are on display in the store's basement gallery, seven days a week, from noon through 7:00 pm. Admission is free. The exhibit runs through November 29, 2008.
The artists' reception for Stormy Leather's "VoyeuriS/M" photo show
is Friday, October 17, 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. The show presents the energy exchange possible in S/M
play. There will be entertainment and refreshments. Admission is
free.
Eight of my
photographs from my groundbreaking 1986 book, "Sexual Magic: the S/M
Photographs", are part of the show. "VoyeuriS/M" also includes photographs by
David Steinberg, Patti Beadles, and Jim Duvall. My work comprises
impressionistic, gritty, cinema verité images of S/M sex scenes. Several stars of the radical
sex community appear: Kat Sunlove and Layne Winklebleck, Corona, Sybil Holiday
(as Lily) and Cléo Dubois.
