Well, okey-doke, dude!
As I am under the gun to get the current novel finished by the end of the fall, I'm finding less and less time to do anything around here. Well, I saw a couple of fun movies -- Tropic Thunder and The Dark Knight. And the GF and I went out to eat a few times. Went to the doctor with mom and his mouth fell open when he saw how much great progress she was making with her recovery. (No, she's not in recovery for being a dipso-hophead. She's recovering from yet more surgery...)
But speaking of being a dipso...
I've also made time to drink what seems like an awful lot of French wine with the GF while we watch those awesome new episodes of Mad Men. Are they not to die for??? And did you see that Don Draper is in the upcoming re-make of The Day the Earth Stood Still -- which I am going to see no matter what because I love looking at Keanu Reeves almost more than I love life itself! Yessirree. (And if you saw a recent posting of mine re: Johnny Depp on 12th Street in NYC, I also have a weird Keanu story, where he was rude to me at a party at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. And I swear to you, I was like so totally minding my own business and looking really pretty because I was hopelessly in love with this Senior VP of Sony Music at the time, who stood me up and shattered my heart and Keanu came over and was rude to me. Just like that. I think the phrase "what the fuck?" was created for just those inexplicable situations with gorgeous movie stars. But guess what? I forgive him! Yay! I know Keanu will sleep easier tonight... finally!)
And I'm still doing jury duty -- being a juror for the upcoming Columbus International Film & Video Festival, that is! Much more fun than any other type of jury duty, I can assure you.
Other than those things, however, all I'm doing is working on the new novel. I am very pleased with the progress but a little overwhelmed by how incredibly "on and on" this novel goes! I mean, I knew it would be like this. But knowing it would happen and living it are always two different things, are they not, gentle readers?
But life goes on. And quite joyously, I might add! But I'd best get back to work around here. Thanks for visiting, gang. Hope life is going joyously wherever you are! See ya!
