Either I now live in Magic Land or that little battery in my pedometer is on its way out. My customary 3 mile walk this morning clocked in at 6.56 miles! How very interesting. That 10K thingie I've signed up for in September won't be so hard on me after all -- not when I'm living in Magic Land, it won't.

I can't believe the summer is almost gone, gang. I know there's still a month of it left to go, but now when I'm doing my walk in the mornings I can sense what it's going to feel like when autumn is here. And as soon as I get those almost tangible feelings of an upcoming season (whichever one it happens to be), it is like a heartbeat and suddenly it's here. Oh well. Not that I don't love fall -- in fact, October is my favorite month of the year. But still. It's been an unusual summer and I don't really want it to be over just yet.
