Ooops! Tiny SNAFU
Evidently, the GONZO movie doesn't start at the movie theater we'll be going to until later this week (see post below). So, rather than go tomorrow and sit in the theater for several days, waiting on the movie to arrive, we decided to just go next Wednesday, instead. Which means...
Yes, it becomes a quasi-birthday celebration pour moi! How nice. Next Tuesday is my actual birthday, but part of the festivities are already spilling over into Wednesday, so we're just adding the movie to that celebratory list.
On my birthday, I'll be getting a massage in the morning, then having the "family + girlfriend dinner" at a Mexican restaurant in the evening, then -- okay, yes -- cake at mom's! Yay! (Not entirely sure how that Mexican-food-followed-by-cake idea is going to go over with my digestive system, but I guess we shall see!) The middle part of my birthday is wide open. As I was doing my walk this morning, I was thinking about how I'd best like to celebrate my birthday, while also wondering why birthdays were so much more fun when I was little. (Oh, wait, I know -- it was because I was little; I hadn't yet figured out that everything sucks.)
I decided that if I could spend my birthday absolutely any way I wanted to next week, it would be by watching an episode of The Monkees followed by an episode of I Dream of Jeanie, look through an old PLAYBOY magazine without getting caught, play out in the yard, go to the neighborhood pool, and then the drive-in at night followed by watching the astronauts walk on the moon. Voila! Perfect birthday!
Me thinks, though, that as I turn 48, it won't be going quite that way. But, well, you just never know! We shall see. Hope life is treating you grand wherever you are today, gang! I'm going to get crackin' on the new novel here now. Thanks for visiting! See ya!
