Who knew?
That mulberries taste great??? Well, I guess probably somebody did, but not me. The berries are growing so abundantly and they are so ripe that all you have to do is stick your hand in the bunches of really dense leaves, and all the mulberries just fall into your hand. Oh, and all over the driveway and the front patio and the flowerbed, too. But it is just too cool.
And you know what else is really cool? The groundhog that lives under my shed in back had 2 babies this year. They are just adorable. They really are. They are extremely timid so I can't even come close to getting any photos of them, but they are just too cute. And when mommy comes out with them, the babies start playing and tumble all over mommy and then mommy plays, too.
I don't have a vegetable garden, hence, my thinking that groundhogs are cute. If I had vegetables growing out back, they would probably make me insane. But for now, they are great weed eaters. For instance, they nibble nibble nibble on all the weeds growing up between the bricks on the path under my arbor. How cool is that? It saves me a ton of work and I don't have to use weed killer. We'll see how cute it is when I have 3 full grown groundhogs. I'm guessing they will separate and scope out greener pastures, but we shall see. Sure will make Groundhog Day kind of special around here, though, won't it, gang?
