SLAM:
Bowing Out After A Decade
The House of Xavier stages it's tenth
annual and final GLAM
SLAM competition in NYC before the event officially moves across the
pond to London (check out www.myspace.com/glamslamuk). This will be
the last installment in New York of the spoken word poetry competition inspired
by the ballroom scene.

* BEST LOVE POEM IN RED
* BEST LOSS POEM IN BLUE
* BEST LUST POEM IN UNDERWEAR, LINGERIE OR
LESS
* WIG-A-POEM
$100 Grand Prize:
* BEST VERBAL VOGUE
* Each contestant
gets up to three minutes to share an original selection featuring the required
props within each category. Winners must be prepared to read a second piece to
compete for Grand Prize. Grand Prize category only open to the winner of each
Open Category. Repeat poems will not be allowed.
