okey dokey!
Sorry for that really long pause... but work on the new novel is going so swimmingly that I don't really have time for much else once I'm in front of the computer every day.
Plus, I've been sick. Again. It's been one thing after another for the entire month of May. It is otherwise known as STRESS. I'm so good at that -- stressing. I excel at it, actually. But I am forever tweaking my schedule (no drug use implied there) to fit as much as I can into any given day and still have a huge portion of it set aside for working on the novel.
One change I've made to organize my time better is that, now that the weather is getting a lot nicer, I've stopped using the treadmill at the club in the early afternoon and am, instead, walking for 2 miles in my own neighborhood at around 6:30 AM. It is so indescribably peaceful at that hour that it is almost unreal. I'm exploring little roads I'd never been down before -- the neighborhood really goes on and on back in there. All mid-century homes that are just adorable -- in my opinion, anyway. There are even two churches back in there. One that is scary looking, as in, they participate in witch hunts or something; the other, so beckoning that I feel like joining it! Except that I don't share their values or their faith. No small obstacle, alas.
But the birds are really singing like mad at that early hour of the morning. And there are very few people awake yet and going off to work in their cars. Plus there is an incredible variety of really mature, beautiful, trees in my neighborhood -- one of the very many reasons why I love it. So, rather than have my coffee & kashi while watching 30 minutes of some old movie I've DVR'd, I go out and walk instead.
One day, my life is going to get simpler. Ha ha. Well, we shall see. Meanwhile, thanks for visiting, gang. Hope life is thrilling you, wherever you're at! See ya.
