There was a sale on solar-powered yard lights so I bought these really neat ones (one is pictured below).  They are very Prairie School - Frank Lloyd Wright-ish, aren't they? I can't wait to see what they look like after dark.

My lilacs are also blooming! The ones by the kitchen door that didn't bloom at all last spring. I am so excited! They smell fantastic. Lilacs are my favorite flower, followed closely by roses. I have no idea why the woman who lived here before me pruned all of her blossoming trees in a  sort of giant-bonsai shape, but she did.  Anyway, here it is!
