There was good news & there was bad news
The good news was that the leak at the base of the bathroom sink only involved a tightening of a thingy and the leak was gone -- no charge! The bad news was that the other sluggish drain problem was going to require a massive snaking that would go all the way out to the street or something. But the charge for that is not expected to be astronomical.
So on we go. As always, it could be worse.
I did indeed get into my fucking car and went in search of that on-sale Christmas tree. My heart settled on a lovely pre-lit 9 foot tall Martha Stewart tree. It was $100 off! Naturally, it was sold out and they weren't expecting any more to arrive between now and Christmas. How convenient for them and yet so incredibly odd. It is only November 13th here in the world that I live in. But oh well.
I came home instead with an 18 inch Martha Stewart Christmas tree. It is so cute. It is made of silver tinsel and I bought a bunch of miniature ornaments to hang on it. When it is closer to Christmas and I actually have it out and decorated, I will regale you with photos of how adorable it is.
Still, my living room with its very high ceilings would really appreciate a 9 foot high pre-lit tree, so I guess I better keep my eye out for one. And try not to pay through the nose for it. (Interesting how my body parts are so actively involved in this, isn't it?)
