And the presents are, like, WHERE?
Come on, you guys, I gave you plenty of advance warning and now here it is Sunday, my birhtday (or birthday, if you're going to get fussy about it), and the gifts have not arrived. What the heck's going on around here? I might have to start suspending priveleges (and start learning how to spell, for chrissakes, that should be 'privileges') to Marilyn's Room if you don't start paying a little more attention to moi.
All right then. Onward. But consider yourself warned.
In about 20 minutes or so, I'm going to go out and start pulling weeds in the backyard. It's been a couple weeks since I was able to spend any time out there and it is getting quite jungle-y again. Nothing as bad as how it had gotten back in Pennsylvania, for you loyal lofty blog readers -- that was really scary. The weeds not only grew taller than me but harbored strange insects the likes of which I'd never seen before. Here in Happyland, Ohio, though, where I grew up, the weeds and the insects are even more familiar to me than (censored!)
Anyway. So I'll be weeding this morning, and probably "eek!"-ing a bit every now and then, what with all the spiders, beetles, etc., that I will be rudely awakening, but the weather is beautiful. Not hot at all. Usually it's unbearably hot & humid on my birthday.
My new laptop did finally arrive. Just in the nick of time. But what a fucking pain in the ass that Vista Home Premium is. If you're on a PC and haven't upgraded from XP yet, consider yourselves warned. However, my laptop is gorgeous. So is my new printer -- now, if only I could get the laptop to recognize the printer, we'd be all set.
All right, gang, I'm going to get started around here. Have a great Sunday, wherever you are!
