As for me

I have been working my bony fingers into even bonier fingers, getting a ton of writing done. Still nowhere near caught up, but at least I'm getting writing done.

This perked my spirits -- yet another web site wrote to tell me I've been added to their Author's database and would I be kind enough to list my personal library with them so that readers can see my incredibly lofty tastes [I don't think they phrased it quite like that -- ed.]. Since flattery gets you everywhere with me, I was happy to oblige.

I only entered (about 100) titles that are on the shelves directly in front of my desk. But those shelves are where some of my favorite books land anyway. You can check it out here. There's a link for my library there somewhere.

Currently, I am escaping into this and I have just been loving it: I, Fatty by Jerry Stahl. He has really done an amazing job capturing the feel of that whole era, an era that coincidently I have also been researching. (I won't say for how long, since that would only astound you -- that I take so long to get anything done.) My novel is gay/lesbian, though. But the same era. And the book should be underway later this summer -- finally. We shall see! Meanwhile, check it out. It's Jerry's usual mix of heartbreaking wry humor and blunt honesty. It's sad and it's funny. Which, for me, equals devastating.
