Well, okay!
The heatwave is over. Yesterday was all about thunderstorms and rain, which was really nice for the flowers and the grass. Finally!
I managed to walk to the post office and back between downpours mid-morning. How delightfully sunny and unbearably humid! Yay! But it sure made me appreciate the working AC when I got back home, drenched in sweat.
Plus, whoever lived here before us, had an impressive workshop out in the garage. Whoever it was must have lived out there because our garage also has central heat and air conditioning! Don't you find that kind of wierd? (Or is the way I spell 'weird' even weirder?) When I went out to get the pick-up truck to run errands, I opened the garage door and, whoosh, this wall of amazingly cold air greets me. And when I got into the black truck with it's black leather interior, I was expecting it to be god-awful hot and for the truck's AC to start blasting hot air, but in fact it was just the opposite. Nice to know I'm paying good money to keep the truck nice & comfy...
Some news from others and then I'm off!
