Okay
I have to explain the birdseed thing...
No, I did not simply open up a 10 pound bag of birdseed and then just dump it on the back lawn, even though that's what it looks like now.
The squirrels broke the birdfeeder that used to hang from the maple tree (you can see it propped up against the tree trunk). It is going out with the trash on Tuesday morning. But meanwhile, all the birdseed that used to be in the feeder is now in a heap on my grass. Which is why it looks as if those ducks are standing near a veritable pond of birdseed...
It's a real mess back there now -- not to mention squirrel pooh beyond your wildest imaginings. Not sure how I'm going to clean everything up, but I'm hoping to get a brilliant idea before Mike sees what's going on back there. (As it is, he's not a big fan of feeding every known creature on God's green earth. Loyal readers of this lofty blog will surely remember the stray cat fiasco in Tiny Town, PA.)
