The 3 Season Room, Part 3
When I came to look at the house this past summer, I was immediately entranced by the adorable kitchen and knew I wanted to live here. It was a small kitchen but it was so bright, so clean and white, and had so much storage space. And the kitchen we had back in Tiny Town, while it was huge, it was so incredibly dark and spider-filled, and let's face it, it was 106 years old. It smelled ancient no matter how much I cleaned it.
Since this house is a split level, I actually had to come downstairs before I discoverd the family room and all those amazing built-in bookshelves and nearly had a heart attack--book lover/collector that I am. So you can imagine my further surprise when I went into the laundry room, saw this door and said to the realtor, "Oh. Where does this go?" And then it was like, "Holy shit! THIS IS SO COOL!" The land of enchantment right there off the laundry room...
To make a long story short, my cats love the 3 season room. They do not mind one iota that it has not been renovated yet and has no furniture. They love to sit on the window seat and stare out at the birds and squirrels. I like to scatter peanuts under the maple tree before the sun comes up so that by the time the world comes to life and the cats are in position, there are already about 5 or 6 squirrels scampering all over the yard.
